Abstract
Mathematica has been used in a novel application to produce music from
algorithmic strings derived from the Fibonacci string and from amino acid
sequences found in the primary structure of proteins. The musical output
provides an example of a new dimension in assessing organizational patterns
in complex mathematical strings and in chemistry for macromolecules. Structures
and data can be heard as an adjunct to being visualized.
